Louis Armstrong and Duke ellington had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. On The Complete Sessions album, Louis Armstrong and Duke ellington have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This album has some very good songs like Duke’s Place and I’m Just A Lucky So And So. The Complete Sessions constantly brilliant.
I’m Just A Lucky So And So is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Cottontail is pretty funky and mellow. Mood Indigo is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Do Nothin’ Till You Hear From Me is the album’s biggest hit, I think. It took me a little time but I ended up loving The Beautiful American. Black And Tan Fantasy is perfect work of Louis Armstrong and Duke ellington. I listened to the opening track Drop Me Off At Harlem and liked it a lot. The Mooche catches attention immediately, I find myself hearing bits of In A Mellow Tone here and there throughout my waking hours. It Don’t Mean A Thing is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Solitude is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through The Complete Sessions. I think Don’t Get Around Much Anymore is the best song Louis Armstrong and Duke ellington has ever done. After few listenings I started to like I’m Beginning To See The Light more and more. Just Squeeze Me is outstanding work of Louis Armstrong and Duke ellington. I Got It Bad And That Ain’t Good is one of the best records ever. Azalea gets you up and jumping.
