This is the first studio album from Malicorne since bad diagnosis in 1978. ‘L’Extraordinaire Tour De France d’Ad Lard Rousseau’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Malicorne’s debut, ‘L’Extraordinaire Tour De France d’Ad Lard Rousseau’, does not fit easily into one genre. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
La Danse Des Damnes is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Malicorne released so far. Charming song, great melody. Si L’Amour Prenait Racine as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. In Les Couleurs Malicorne spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Malicorne must have run out of lyrics on the next track A Paris La Grande Ville. Compagnons Qui Roulez En Provence is one of my favorite songs by Malicorne. La Complainte Du Coureur De Bois - For me, this is the best of the album. L’Auberge Sanglante is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Malicorne sings Le Depart Des Compagnons - La Conduite in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved.
