On the Belgium charts, superstar Manilla Road’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Lead single “The Dream Goes On” and “Cat and Mouse” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is the first studio album from Manilla Road since bad diagnosis in 1980. This album is awesome.
Cat and Mouse is amazing work of Manilla Road. Some call Far Side Of The Sun from Invasion as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. As always, Manilla Road’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Musically Centurian War Games is superior to other tracks in Invasion. The Empire one of the best in my collection.
