Now signed to Meat Loaf’s Virgin Records, the title track from second album “Midnight At The Lost And Found” leads Meat Loaf’s back-to-school campaign. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Meat Loaf’s album Midnight At The Lost And Found falls to No. 2 with 953,000, a sales slide of 63%. This is the first studio album from Meat Loaf since bad diagnosis in 1983. IT makes me wanna dance!
Midnight At The Lost And Found is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Wolf At Your Door is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Keep Driving is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. The Promised Land is marvelous and different song. You Can Never Be Too Sure About The Girl is simple, dignified and effective, Meat Loaf refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Some of the arrangements found on Midnight At The Lost And Found are surprisingly edgy. Don’t Look At Me Like That is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Within the first few notes of If You Really Want To it’s perfectly clear that Meat Loaf is living this song. I think Fallen Angel is the best song Meat Loaf has ever done.
