Since Meredith Monk last CD (Dolmen Music) on Savoy Records back in 1981, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is one of the best Cd’s Meredith Monk has dropped to date. Meredith Monk’s debut, ‘Dolmen Music’, does not fit easily into one genre. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
There is cool mix of music in Travelling. The Tale is the funkiest number on the album. Biography as a highlight of Dolmen Music contains a ton of excellent melodies. Dolmen Music: Overture and Men’s Conclave/Wa-0hs/Rain/Pine Tree Lullab is probably the highlight of the album.
