In Danton the music gets its power. Opening track Le vieux est de retour shows the best of Michel Sardou. La chanson d’adieu is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. Le surveillant general is almost impossible to review. Bonsoir Clara is a fine track on any terms. Un enfant (3:29) a good melody. Michel Sardou is hitting on all cylinders in Les gens du show business. Nice and different song. In Mon mal de foie it becomes nowhere more obvious that Michel Sardou has yet to define own style. Le fils de Ferdinand one is one of the better boring ones. Cinq ans passes is the song that really did it for me.
