Lead single “S.K.J.” and “Stablemates” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. I wish that “Bags Meets Wes!” album was instrumental.
Stablemates has a fun tempo. Opening track Stairway To The Stars (take 3) shows the best of Milt Jackson. I can’t stop humming along Stairway To The Stars (take 2). Don’t judge Blue Roz on the first listening. Sam Sack is the first taste of the new album. Jingles (take 9) gets you up and jumping. Jingles (take 
is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Deililah (take 4) - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Deililah (take 3).
