It’s natural for Minutemen to take a stab at ‘Search’ considering her long-professed love for Army of Lovers. I am not a real Rock: Punk-Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘The Punch Line’ really is amazing. It has been four years Minutemen’ last studio CD, “The Punch Line” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This album is a scorcher!
Once Tension gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. I now have Boiling as one of my personal favorites. Album opener Disguises is a bright, upbeat ditty. The Punch Line couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Struggle. Monuments is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Minutemen is hitting on all cylinders in Ruins. Minutemen sings Issued in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Song for el Salvador - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. History Lesson has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Minutemen’s strong vocals come to the fore. Fanatics - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. No Parade is one of my favorite songs by Minutemen. Straight Jacket is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Warfare presents the perfect mix of instruments on The Punch Line. Static - another great track from the The Punch Line album.
