Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Misfits on ‘20 Eyes’. I am not a real Punk music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Walk Among Us’ really is amazing. It’s natural for Misfits to take a stab at ‘20 Eyes’ considering her long-professed love for Orkrist. Walk Among Us touched my soul like nothing else.
Lyrics of All Hell Breaks Loose are precise and evocative. Astro Zombies motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Braineaters is almost impossible to review. Devils Whorehouse is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Hatebreeders is outstanding work of Misfits. The sound of I Turned Into a Martian is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. In Mommy Can I Go Out and Lill Tonight (Live!) you won’t find any flashy solos. Night of the Living Dead is such a marvelous and optimistic song that things can get just better. Music and lyrics of Nike a Go Go creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Skulls. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Violent World is a romantic if not formulaic ditty.
