Since Moby Grape last CD (Long Gone) on Savoy Records back in 1968, I have felt a massive void in my life. This is the first studio album from Moby Grape since bad diagnosis in 1968. I am not a real Country music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Long Gone’ really is amazing. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like Long Gone.
Mr Blues - Okay, I just talked about depth. I find myself hearing bits of Sitting By The Window here and there throughout my waking hours. Omaha (2:32) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. I hope to keep hearing Moby Grape works for a long time to come. Murder In My Heart For The Judge has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. My Heart’s Desire - Check out that bassline! Gypsy Wedding is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Strong, powerful vocals of Moby Grape in I Am Not Willing are very impressive. Trucking Man is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. A great put together song. Fall On You - another great track from the Long Gone album. Murder In My Heart For The Judge on Long Gone is solid and easy to listen to. I think Bob’s Blues is the best song Moby Grape has ever done. Omaha is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. If You Can’t Learn From My Mistakes is amazing work of Moby Grape. One listen to the sheer beauty of Trucking Man was all I needed. Ain’t That A Shame make listening to Moby Grape like being in some sort of time warp. Five To Eight is one of the best records ever.
