‘Wow-Grape Jam’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Now signed to Moby Grape’s Blue Note Records, the title track from second album “Wow-Grape Jam” leads Moby Grape’s back-to-school campaign. Self-described as Country with lots of words, Moby Grape comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Murder In My Heart For The Judge is astounding. In Bitter Wind you won’t find any flashy solos. Can’t Be So Bad is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. The song feels complete. Motorcycle Irene - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Three-Four I just LOVE this mix! This song stands out greatly from the others. Rose Colored Eyes as a highlight of Wow-Grape Jam contains a ton of astounding melodies. Miller’s Blues is simply cool. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Never - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Moby Grape. Boysenberry Jam - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Black Currant Jam is a great opener for Wow-Grape Jam. Music of Marmalade is gentle, never overbearing.
