Neil Sedaka had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Lead single “Sugar Sugar” and “Everything is Beautiful” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. I am not a real Pop music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Live in Australia’ really is amazing. IT makes me wanna dance!
Everything is Beautiful is just simply stunning. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Bridge Over, Danny Boy, which shows, blatantly, how much Neil Sedaka has evolved as a singer. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. I listened to the opening track The Father of Girls and liked it a lot. Polonaise in A Flat is possibly the best song Neil Sedaka has come up. In Proud Mary Neil Sedaka spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Bye Bye Blackbird is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. After about the third My World Keeps Gettings… listen through, I began to believe this song is Neil Sedaka’s essence. Music of Scapriatcciello is gentle, never overbearing. The History of Rock and Roll is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen.
