Since completing 1964’s ‘Oh Carol’, Neil Sedaka fulfilled their contract with Columbia Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Now signed to Neil Sedaka’s Columbia Records, the title track from second album “The Very Best Of Neil Sedaka” leads Neil Sedaka’s back-to-school campaign. For older fans The Very Best Of Neil Sedaka will put a massive smile accross your face. I Love The Very Best Of Neil Sedaka from start to finish!
Calender girl - A nice song. A fantastic track full of wonder. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Laughter in the rain - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. In Love will keep us together Neil Sedaka spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Neil Sedaka sings his heart out in The Miracle song. Standing on the inside is a bit different from Neil Sedaka stereotypical stuff. The hungry years make listening to Neil Sedaka like being in some sort of time warp. I go ape (2:24) a good melody. The queen of 1964 is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Breaking up is hard to do (slow version) is probably the highlight of the album. Overall a nice softer song. That’s when the music take me is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. I like to sing along with Solitaire (live), though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. The song feels complete. This track is clearly meant to showcase Neil Sedaka’s vocal abilities. Laughter In The Rain (Original Version) is another strong production from Neil Sedaka.
