Since Neu! last CD (Neu! 2) on SixSteps records back in 1973, I have felt a massive void in my life. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Neu! on ‘Fur Immer’. There is no doubt that Neu! has talent. If you love Neu! as much as I do, then Neu! Neu! 2 is the CD for you!
Don’t judge Spitzenqualitat on the first listening. Gedenkminute is a marvelous sing-along. Lila Engel is perfect. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. The song feels complete. The sound of Neuschnee is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Cassetto is perfect and different song. Super 78 marked the continuation of Neu! in style evolution. Neu! is one of artists that allow his songs like Hallo Excentrico! to stand on their own and be heard. Super is the album’s biggest hit, I think.
