On Unbehagen album, Nina Hagen have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Nina Hagen. Since completing 1980’s ‘African Reggae’, Nina Hagen fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Exciting stuff.
Alptraum is the album’s biggest hit, I think. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Wir Leben Immer … Noch (Lucky Number) from the beginning to the end. Wenn Ich Ein Junge Waer (Live-Version) - A strong beat. Herrmann Hiess Er is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Simple and heartfelt closing track Auf’m Rummel closes Unbehagen on a high note. Wau Wau - To me, this is the best song on the Unbehagen. Fall In Love Mit Mir is the most memorable and marvelous. Although No Way (instrumental) is very melodic it is far from sad.
