Since Nino Rota last CD (Il Bidone) on Sparrow Records back in 1955, I have felt a massive void in my life. Il Bidone isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Nino Rota’s album Il Bidone falls to No. 2 with 573,000, a sales slide of 86%. I wish that “Il Bidone” album was instrumental.
I can’t stop playing La Moglie Del Bidonista. Il Tesoro Nascosto is a very catchy tune. Coimbrala Festa Dei Bidonisti I just LOVE this mix! In Viaggio Per Un Bidone is Nino Rota’s best work in years. Al Cinema is the most memorable and exquisite. Cara Bambina is the funkiest number on the album. Ballerina Night is probably one of Nino Rota’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. You can find feelings on this piece of art.
