Since completing 1965’s ‘Zorongo Gitano’, Paco De Lucia fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. While no new Paco De Lucia album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1965 tour in Africa. 12 Canciones De Garcia Lorca Para Guitarra isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Paco De Lucia “12 Canciones De Garcia Lorca Para Guitarra” is an amazing album.
Musically Sevillanas Del Siglo Xviii is superior to other tracks in 12 Canciones De Garcia Lorca Para Guitarra. The song Morillas De Jaen ending is my favorite… so catchy! Anda Jaleo has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Reyes De La Baraja - another great track from the 12 Canciones De Garcia Lorca Para Guitarra album. Cuatro Muleros which is my favorite is a truly Paco De Lucia sounding song. Nana De Sevilla is a good listen every once in a while. Cafe De Chinitas is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Vito is a bit different from Paco De Lucia stereotypical stuff. Peregrinitos (3:31) a good melody. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin.
