It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Paco De Lucia energies, virtually a rebirth. This is one of the best Cd’s Paco De Lucia has dropped to date. On El Mundo Del Flamenco album, Paco De Lucia have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Paco De Lucia offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Paco De Lucia allows each song to breathe and flourish. Al Puerto - I like this one. Maria De Los Dolores gets you up and jumping. Taconeo Gitano is such a gorgeous and optimistic song that things can get just better. In Callecita Que Subes it becomes nowhere more obvious that Paco De Lucia has yet to define own style. I hope to keep hearing Paco De Lucia works for a long time to come. El Impetu is probably the highlight of the album. El Rinconcillo is one of the best records ever.
