sixteen years ago, Paco De Lucia Ramon Algecira briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Tango De La Rosa”. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Paco De Lucia Ramon Algecira energies, virtually a rebirth. I am not a real Folk: Spanish music type of person, but i have to admit ‘12 Hits Para 2 Guitarras’ really is amazing. Exciting stuff.

Luna Sobre Las Ruinas Del Castillo is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Celos make listening to Paco De Lucia Ramon Algecira like being in some sort of time warp. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Que Sera Sera as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Some call Yo Que No Vivo Sin Ti from 12 Hits Para 2 Guitarras as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Reserva Ei Ultimo Baile Para Mi gives taste of what makes Paco De Lucia Ramon Algecira special as a musician. You have to get essence of the Dbesame Mucho’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. I like the idea behind Perfidia.
