Since completing 1979’s ‘Frederick’, Patti Smith Group fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. There is so much to love about Patti Smith Group, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. There were many famous songs of Patti Smith Group available. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Dancing Barefoot great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Patti Smith Group rocks harder than ever with So You Want To Be. Hymn was the first single release from the album Wave. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Citizen Ship. Blew our minds when we first heard Seven Ways Of Going. Opening track Broken Flag shows the best of Patti Smith Group. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Wave from the beginning to the end. Fire Of Unknown Origin is the first taste of the new album. 54321/Wave is astounding and different song.
