There is so much to love about Paul McCartney, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Pipes of Peace carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. ‘Pipes of Peace’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Smart music for smart people.
The sound in Say Say Say is really warm and Paul McCartney’s signature voice is still very much present. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Keep Under Cover - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. The opening track So Bad is very much like you would expect from other albums. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Pipes of Peace. I loved Sweetest Little Show / Average Person the first time I heard it. Hey Hey Hey is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Tug of Peace is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Through Our Love is the more seemingly obscure song on Pipes of Peace that bear up best to repeated listening.
