This is the first studio album from Penguin Cafe Orchestra since bad diagnosis in 1976. Exciting stuff.
I loved Zopf: From the Colonies (for N.R.) the first time I heard it. Penguin Cafe Orchestra allows each song to breathe and flourish. Penguin Cafe Orchestra has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Nice and different song. Best song on the album, love it. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Some of the arrangements found on Music from the Penguin Cafe are surprisingly edgy. The sound of someone you love who’s going away and it doesn’t ma pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Hugebaby. Chartered Flight is a perfect sing-along.
