There is so much to love about Peter Hammill, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. I am not a real ROck: Alternative music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Ph7′ really is amazing. There is no doubt that Peter Hammill has talent. Smart music for smart people.
Vocals of Peter Hammill in Careering really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Porton Down is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. I love the melodic melody of Mirror Images and to this day it makes me feel good. Handicap And Equality is pretty funky and mellow. Not For Keith (2:22) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! The Old School Tie is simple, dignified and effective, Peter Hammill refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Time For A Change - I like this one. Imperial Walls is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Mr. X (Gets Tense) catches attention immediately, Faculty X is possibly the best song Peter Hammill has come up.
