Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Peter Michael Hamel’s new album to that on ‘Bardo’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Lead single “Bardo” and “Dorian Dervishes” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Peter Michael Hamel on ‘Bardo’. To me Peter Michael Hamel is the best band ever.
