‘North Star’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. four years ago, Philip Glass briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Victor’s Lament”. Lead single “Etoile Polaire (North Star)” and “Victor’s Lament” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. IF you love Philip Glass, ‘North Star’ Mp3’s is the best!
Victor’s Lament - I like this one. After few listenings I started to like River Run more and more. Mon Pere, Mon Pere is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Philip Glass is hitting on all cylinders in Are Years What. Lady Day is a very catchy tune. Ange Des Oranges has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Philip Glass sings his heart out in Ave. Ik - Ook as a highlight of North Star contains a ton of excellent melodies. Montage is so unique, as each one of the songs is.
