For older fans More will put a massive smile accross your face. Since Pink Floyd last CD (More) on Mute Records back in 1969, I have felt a massive void in my life. It has been one years Pink Floyd’ last studio CD, “More” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This is my first Pink Floyd Album and i must say i am blown away.
It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Only one song from More named Crying Song really got me. Put Up The Khyber into car stereo for your highway driving Green Is The Colour have really caught my ear and imagination. Cymbaline is the most memorable and perfect. Party Sequence is simple, dignified and effective, Pink Floyd refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Main Theme is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Ibiza Bar gets you up and jumping. Music of More Blues is gentle, never overbearing. In Quicksilver the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Pink Floyd has astounded me with this amazing track. I have all of Pink Floyd’s tracks and Dramatic Theme is probably the most his introspective effort.
