Pino Daniele’s debut, ‘Vai Mo’, does not fit easily into one genre. Since completing 1981’s ‘Ma Che Ho’, Pino Daniele fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. five years ago, Pino Daniele briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Giorno Che Non Va”. To me Pino Daniele is the best band ever.
Voice and instruments in Giorno Che Non Va complement each other. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Nun Ce Sta Piacere is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Sulo Pe Parla - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. First time I heard Yes I Know My Way was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.The first time I listened to Notte Che Se Ne Va I was struck by its gorgeous sound. Che Te Ne Fotte very upbeat. Have You Seen My Shoes? is the album’s biggest hit, I think. In E Sempe Sera it becomes nowhere more obvious that Pino Daniele has yet to define own style.
