After seeing Under The Gun, I had to have a good Poco cd. Poco was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Poco and Under The Gun together. It has been five years Poco’ last studio CD, “Under The Gun” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Under The Gun constantly brilliant.
While We’re Still Young - Okay, I just talked about depth. Poco is one of artists that allow his songs like The Everlasting Kind to stand on their own and be heard. Down To The Wire as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Footsteps Of A Fool (Shaky Ground) is simple, dignified and effective, Poco refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. What sets Reputation apart is Poco’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Midnight Rain is one of the best records ever. A Fool’s Paradise one is one of the better boring ones. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right.
