Since completing 1983’s ‘My Lighthouse’, Pulp fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. When you buy a Pulp album, you know exactly what you’re getting! For older fans It will put a massive smile accross your face. This album is awesome.
This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. No Pulp song has come close to capturing my attention as Joking Aside did. Voice of Pulp in Boats and Trains is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. I have all of Pulp’s tracks and Love Love is probably the most his introspective effort. In Many Ways is absolutely incredible. Looking For Life is a great opener for It.
