This is the first studio album from Queen since bad diagnosis in 1975. Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Queen’s new album to that on ‘A Night At The Opera’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. For older fans A Night At The Opera will put a massive smile accross your face. A Night At The Opera is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. I’m In Love With My Car is a bit different from Queen stereotypical stuff. You’re My Best Friend is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. ‘39 is a strong cut, one of many. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. After few listenings I started to like Seaside Rendezvous more and more. The Prophet’s Song the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Love Of My Life defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Bohemian Rhapsody sets the tone for the entire album. God Save The Queen on A Night At The Opera is solid and easy to listen to.
