This is the first studio album from Queen since bad diagnosis in 1977. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Queen on ‘We Will Rock You’. When you buy a Queen album, you know exactly what you’re getting! News Of The World is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Only one song from News Of The World named We Are The Champions really got me. I like to sing along with Sheer Heart Attack, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. All Dead, All Dead is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Spread Your Wings is one of the best records ever. News Of The World couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Fight From The Inside. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Get Down, Make Love, which shows, blatantly, how much Queen has evolved as a singer. Sleeping On The Side Walk sets the tone for the entire album. The sound in Who Needs You is really warm and Queen’s signature voice is still very much present. It’s Late still maintains something of a specific flourish. My Melancholy Blues is a strong cut, one of many.
