Thom Yorke has compared writing for Quiet Riot’s new album to that on ‘Quiet Riot I’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Quiet Riot I isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Since Quiet Riot last CD (Quiet Riot I) on Virgin Records back in 1977, I have felt a massive void in my life. Quiet Riot is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Mama’s Little Angels gets you up and jumping. Tin Soldier is absolutely incredible. As always, Quiet Riot’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Back To The Coast (2:49) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Glad All Over because the melody in the chorus is so good. Get Your Kicks I just LOVE this mix! Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. First time I heard Just How You Want It was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Quiet Riot I couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Riot Reunion. Fit To Be Tied (3:27) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Demolition Derby is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit.
