Self-described as Latin with lots of words, Raul Seixas comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Since completing 1983’s ‘A Ilha Da Fantasia’, Raul Seixas fulfilled their contract with Blue Note Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is one of the best Cd’s Raul Seixas has dropped to date. This is my first Raul Seixas Album and i must say i am blown away.
This song is dynamic and dramatic. Don’t judge Idi A Mim Dada on the first listening. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. No Fundo Do Quintal Da Escola - To me, this is the best song on the O Segredo Do Universo. O Dia Em Que A Terra Parou is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. O Segredo Do Universo is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Raul Seixas ever produced. The sound in Pagando Brabo is really warm and Raul Seixas’s signature voice is still very much present. Por Quem Os Sinos Dobram sets the tone for the entire album. Que Luz e Essa is a song to enjoy for years to come.
