It’s natural for Ravi Shankar to take a stab at ‘Introduction To Indian Music’ considering her long-professed love for KLF. Ravi Shankar’s debut, ‘The Sounds Of India’, does not fit easily into one genre. This album has some very good songs like Introduction To Indian Music and Dadra. The Sounds Of India is not something you should pass up.
Dadra is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. In Maru-Bihag it becomes nowhere more obvious that Ravi Shankar has yet to define own style. As always, Ravi Shankar’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Sindhi-Bhairavi - A nice song.
