High Pressure isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Red Garland Quintet was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Red Garland Quintet and High Pressure together. Since Red Garland Quintet last CD (High Pressure) on Mute Records back in 1961, I have felt a massive void in my life. This album is awesome.
After about the third Solitude listen through, I began to believe this song is Red Garland Quintet’s essence. Undecided very upbeat. What Is There To Say is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Two Bass Hit is really a nice song to relax and listen too.
