There is no doubt that Retro - Various Artists has talent. On the Iceland charts, superstar Retro - Various Artists’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This disc has all of the essential Retro - Various Artists classics. IT makes me wanna dance!
A New Orleans - Adriano Celentano is probably the most interesting track on Anni Di Hit Parade (1963). Abbronzatissima - Edoardo Vianello is the albums biggest surprise. Adesso No - Neil Sedaka is another favourite of mine. All of songs on Anni Di Hit Parade (1963) and have something to say letting alone Agua De Beber - Antonio Carlos Jobim. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Amico - Don Backy is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Amore Fermati - Fred Bongusto is one of the best records ever. Retro - Various Artists must have run out of lyrics on the next track Andavo A Cento All Ora - Gianni Morandi. Baby Be My Baby - Peppino Di Capri - Okay, I just talked about depth. Baci - Remo Germani is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Retro - Various Artists. I can’t stop humming along Blue Velvet - Bobby Vinton. Che Cosa C L - Gino Paoli without a doubt is the standout song of Anni Di Hit Parade (1963). I find myself hearing bits of Chihuahua - Mina here and there throughout my waking hours. Come Te Non C E Nessuno - Rita Pavone - I like this one. In Concerto Disperato - Nini Rosso the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Corcovado - Antonio Carlos Jobim Elis Regina is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Cristine - Miss X is one of the coolest songs Retro - Various Artists has ever recorded. I like the idea behind Cuando Brilla La Luna - Los Marcellos Ferial. I now have Cuore - Rita Pavone as one of my personal favorites. Desafinado - Stan Getz Joao Gilberto - A nice song. Don T Play That Song - Peppino Di Capri (3:10) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Retro - Various Artists breathes new life into the music in Donna The Prima Donna - Dion And The Belmonts. Retro - Various Artists has astounded me with this amazing track. E Il Treno Va - Richard Anthony on Anni Di Hit Parade (1963) is solid and easy to listen to. I listened to the opening track Eri Un Abitudine - Andy Williams and liked it a lot. Fatti Mandare Dalla Mamma A Prendere Il Latte - Gianni Morandi is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Vocals of Retro - Various Artists in Gianni Morandi - Sono Contento Perch La Mamma really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Once Giovane Giovane - Pino Donaggio gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. I came to like Grazie Prego Scusi Tornero - Adriano Celentano. I was truly moved when I heard Hey Paula - Paul And Paula. The sound in Ho Chiuso Le Finestre - Giannio Morandi is really warm and Retro - Various Artists’s signature voice is still very much present. I Can T Stop Loving You - Ray Charles - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Voice of Retro - Various Artists in I Got You (I Feel Good) - James Brown is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. I Tuoi Capricci - Neil Sedaka - My least favorite song on this album. I Watussi - Edoardo Vianello - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Retro - Various Artists. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Anni Di Hit Parade (1963). There is amazing mix of music in I Will Follow Him (Chariot) - Betty Curtis. The first time I listened to Il Ballo Del Mattone - Rita Pavone I was struck by its perfect sound. Il Clown - Nini Rosso one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Il Mio Mondo - Umberto Bindi - For me, this is the best of the album. Il Re Dei Pagliacci - Neil Sedaka is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. You have to get essence of the Il Tangaccio - Adriano Celentano’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Il Testamento - Fabrizio De Andre is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Indifferentemente - Mario Trevi has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Io Che Amo Solo Te - Sergio Endrigo - A strong beat. The opening track Isabella Iannetti - T Hanno Visto Domenica Sera is very much like you would expect from other albums. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is L ete Dell Amore - Francoise Hardy. La Ballata Del Miche - Fabrizio De Andre is pretty funky and mellow. Music of La Guerra Di Piero - Fabrizio De Andre is gentle, never overbearing. La Pantera Rosa - Henry Mancini is a very catchy tune. La Partita Di Pallone - Rita Pavone makes a person feel amazing. Voice and instruments in La Terza Luna - Neil Sedaka complement each other. Le Rose Sono Rosse - Johnny Dorelli - a classic song. Lettera Di Un Soldato - Domenico Modugno defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Retro - Various Artists sings his heart out in Monsieur - Petula Clark. More (Mondo Cane) - Riz Ortolani - arguably the best track on Anni Di Hit Parade (1963) album. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Non Costa Niente - Johnny Dorelli - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. This song stands out greatly from the others. Non Finir D Amarti - John Foster one is one of the better boring ones. Overall a nice softer song. Non Te Ne Andare - Jimmy Fontana sets the tone for the entire album. Non Ti Credo - Peppino Di Capri is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Norma - Tony Dallara stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Pianger Per Te (Crying In The Wind) - Paul Anka - Retro - Various Artists first major hit. Porta Romana - Giorgio Gaber is a song to enjoy for years to come. Some call Prima Di Te Dopo Di Te - Catherine Spaak from Anni Di Hit Parade (1963) as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Anni Di Hit Parade (1963). Retro - Various Artists is one of artists that allow his songs like Quelli Della Mia - Francoise Hardy to stand on their own and be heard. Ricorda - Milva is nothing but pure genius. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Roberta - Peppino Di Capri - A catchy, upbeat tune. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Roma Nun Fa La Stupida Stasera - Renato Rascel is a gorgeous, simple song by Retro - Various Artists at the top of his game. Sabato Triste - Adriano Celentano is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Samba De Uma Nota So - Stan Getz Charlie Byrd is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. I’ve found myself listening to Sapore Di Sale - Gino Paoli back to back and back many times. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Se Mi Vuoi Lasciare - Michele is one of my favorite songs by Retro - Various Artists. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Soul Bossanova - Quincy Jones is my favorite song on Anni Di Hit Parade (1963). One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Speedy Gonzales - Peppino Di Capri because the melody in the chorus is so good. Stessa Spiaggia Stesso Mare - Piero Focaccia is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Sul Cucuzzolo - Rita Pavone is marvelous and different song. A fantastic track full of wonder. Still going through Anni Di Hit Parade (1963) and coming to appreciate The Girl From Ipanema - Antonio Carlos Jobim more and more with every listen. Ti Cercher - Gigi Finizio still maintains something of a specific flourish. Tonight (West Side Story) - Leonard Bernstein as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Only one song from Anni Di Hit Parade (1963) named We Shall Overcome - Pete Seeger really got me. The sound of Wini Wini - Betty Curtis is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created.
