Retro - Various Artists’s debut, ‘Anni Di Hit Parade (1964)’, does not fit easily into one genre. Anni Di Hit Parade (1964) touched my soul like nothing else.
A Casa D Irene - Nico Fidenco is probably the highlight of the album. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. I have all of Retro - Various Artists’s tracks and All My Loving - The Beatles is probably the most his introspective effort. The sound of America - Trini Lopez is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Amore Scusami - John Foster is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. A unique and uplifting song. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Voice of Retro - Various Artists in Ascolta Mio Dio - Peppino Gagliardi is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Bambini Miei - Adriano Celentano great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.The song feels complete. Retro - Various Artists allows each song to breathe and flourish. Che M Importa Del Mondo - Rita Pavone defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Che Me Ne Importa A Me - Domenico Modugno is possibly the best song Retro - Various Artists has come up. When listening to Ciao Ragazzi - Adriano Celentano, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Cin Cin - Richard Anthony is excellent work of Retro - Various Artists. Citte Vuota - Nina make listening to Retro - Various Artists like being in some sort of time warp. Come Ti Vorrei - Iva Zanicchi - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Retro - Various Artists. Con Te Sulla Spiaggia - Nico Fidenco is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Con Un Bacio Piccolissimo - Robertino is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Anni Di Hit Parade (1964) have ended. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Cristina - Bobby Solo is astounding. Datemi Un Martello - Rita Pavone is the funkiest number on the album. Dolce Paola - Adamo (2:14) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. I hope to keep hearing Retro - Various Artists works for a long time to come. Such hits like E Adesso Te Ne Puoi Andare - Les Surfs will leave you hooked. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. E Pie Ti Amo - Alain Barriere is a bit different from Retro - Various Artists stereotypical stuff. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Eight Days A Week - The Beatles is a good listen every once in a while. Put El Portava I Scarp Del Tennis - Enzo Jannacci into car stereo for your highway driving I can’t stop humming along Eravamo Amici - Dino. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Music of Fly Me To The Moon - Frank Sinatra is gentle, never overbearing. Retro - Various Artists emotions are reflected through From Me To You - The Beatles. Hello Dolly - Louis Amstrong is Retro - Various Artists’s best work in years. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Retro - Various Artists rocks harder than ever with Ho Rimasto Solo - Don Backy. The song Hully Gully In Dieci - Edoardo Vianello ending is my favorite… so catchy! I like to sing along with I Feel Fine - The Beatles, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. I Want To Hold Your Hand - The Beatles is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Anni Di Hit Parade (1964). What sets Il Primo Bacio Che Dare - Gigliola Cinquetti apart is Retro - Various Artists’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. In Il Problema Pie Importante - Adriano Celentano full palet of sound is used by Retro - Various Artists to accentuate the presentation. Il Pulcino Ballerino - Lo Zecchino D Oro - Viviana Stucchi is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. In Ginocchio Da Te - Gianni Morandi is a strong cut, one of many. Io E Te - John Foster - This one is lively and fun. Still going through Anni Di Hit Parade (1964) and coming to appreciate Io Sono Quel Che Sono - Mina more and more with every listen. Music and lyrics of Joe Fedeli - Sei Come Una Lucertola creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. L Amore Mio - Rita Pavone is nothing but pure genius. L Armando - Enzo Jannacci one is one of the better boring ones. L Esercito Del Surf - Catherina Spak presents the excellent mix of instruments on Anni Di Hit Parade (1964). L Uomo Del Banjo - Ico Cerutti (2:24) a good melody. La Canzone Di Marinella - Fabrizio De Andre (3:16) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! La Mamma - Charles Aznavour is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is La Mia Festa - Richard Anthony. Although La Notte Fatta Per Amare - Neil Sedaka is very melodic it is far from sad. La Prima Che Incontro - Fabrizio Ferretti - a classic song. Don’t judge La Vendemmia Dell Amore - Marie Laforet on the first listening. La Voglia Dell Estate - Paolo Mosca - For me, this is the best of the album. Le Tue Nozze - Edoardo Vianello one of the best in my collection. Maria Elena - Los Indios Tabajaras - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. A great put together song. Once Misery - The Beatles gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Motivo D Amore - Pino Donaggio is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. The sound in Napoli C Est Fini - Fred Bongusto is really warm and Retro - Various Artists’s signature voice is still very much present. In Non Aspetto Nessuno - Little Tony Retro - Various Artists spins a tale you want to hear to the end. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. I like Non Son Degno Di Te - Gianni Morandi because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Ogni Volta - Paul Anka is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. People - Barbra Streisand is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Piccatura (Peccatrice) - Peppino Di Capri is astounding and different song. Please Please Me - The Beatles is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Quando Vedrai La Mia Ragazza - Little Tony is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Quel Che Ti Ho Dato - Equipe 84 is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Retro - Various Artists is one of artists that allow his songs like Ritorna - Gene Pitney to stand on their own and be heard. Ritornerai - Bruno Lauzi is such a gorgeous and optimistic song that things can get just better. Sabato Sera - Bruno Filippini is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Anni Di Hit Parade (1964). Excellent vocals and musical performances. Sei Diventata Nera - Los Marcellos Ferial as a highlight of Anni Di Hit Parade (1964) contains a ton of excellent melodies. She Loves You - The Beatles is perfect. After you’ve listened to Solo Due Righe - Peppino Di Capri, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Stasera No No No - Germani Remo the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Retro - Various Artists has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Listening to Te Lo Leggo Negli Occhi - Dino you can hear that Retro - Various Artists has still amazing chemistry with band members. In The Animals - Boom Boom the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. The Times They Are A-Changin - Bob Dylan hits the heart. Ti Amo - Sergio Endrigo is a song to enjoy for years to come. Tremarella - Edoardo Vianello - This is a very lively song. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. I think Twist And Shout - The Beatles is the best song Retro - Various Artists has ever done. Un Buco Nella Sabbia - Mina is a excellent song and it grows on you. If you are a Retro - Various Artists fan, you will love Una Lacrima Sul Viso - Bobby Solo. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Anni Di Hit Parade (1964) couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Vous Permettez Monsieur - Adamo.
