While no new Richard Thompson album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1979 tour in South America. John Digester has compared writing for Richard Thompson’s new album to that on ‘Sunnyvista vs. Linda Thompson’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Richard Thompson had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
Once Borrowed Time gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Saturday Rolling Around - This is a very lively song. You’re Going To Need Somebody is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Why Do You Turn Your Back?. When I listen to Sunnyvista in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Lonely Hearts is the album’s biggest hit, I think. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Sunnyvista vs. Linda Thompson. Justice In The Streets (4:03) - awsome. Traces Of My Love sets the tone for the entire album. In Georgie On A Spree the music gets its power.
