It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Rick James and Stone City Band energies, virtually a rebirth. There is no doubt that Rick James and Stone City Band has talent. Rick James and Stone City Band’s debut, ‘Bustin’ Out of L Seven’, does not fit easily into one genre. Such great and happy songs.
High On Your Love Suite / One Mo Hit (Of Your Love) is a very catchy tune. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Spacey Love is the most memorable and cool. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Cop ‘N’ Blow is my favorite song on Bustin’ Out of L Seven. It’s such an underrated song. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Fool On The Street because the melody in the chorus is so good.
