For older fans Jinx will put a massive smile accross your face. It’s natural for Rory Gallagher to take a stab at ‘Big Guns’ considering her long-professed love for Madonna. Rory Gallagher’s debut, ‘Jinx’, does not fit easily into one genre. Great Rock: Blues right here!
Bourbon without a doubt is the standout song of Jinx. I now have Double Vision as one of my personal favorites. Voice and instruments in The Devil Made Me Do It complement each other. Such hits like Signals will leave you hooked. Jinxed - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Easy Come Easy Go is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Jinx have ended. The opening track Nothin’ But The Devil is very much like you would expect from other albums. Rory Gallagher is one of artists that allow his songs like Ride On Red, Ride On to stand on their own and be heard. Lonely Mile is excellent song though, very addictive. Loose Talk gives taste of what makes Rory Gallagher special as a musician.
