Roy Orbison had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Now signed to Roy Orbison’s Blue Note Records, the title track from second album “Golden Days” leads Roy Orbison’s back-to-school campaign. This disc has all of the essential Roy Orbison classics. Exciting stuff.
Lana is one of these floating songs. Only The Lonely-Know The Way I Feel is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Roy Orbison released so far. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. I find myself hearing bits of Pretty Paper here and there throughout my waking hours. All I Have To Do Is Dream is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Roy Orbison rocks harder than ever with Blue Angel. Working For The Man - To me, this is the best song on the Golden Days. Candy Man is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Golden Days. Running Scared - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Still going through Golden Days and coming to appreciate In Dreams more and more with every listen. Falling - A strong beat. Love Hurts - Okay, I just talked about depth. Mean Woman Blues - I like this one. I Can’T Stop Loving You is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. The Crowd is perfect. Blue Bayou is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Roy Orbison ever produced. Borne On The Wind presents the perfect mix of instruments on Golden Days.
