Thousand Knives carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. After seeing Thousand Knives, I had to have a good Ryuichi Sakamoto cd. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Ryuichi Sakamoto on ‘Thousand Knives’. One of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s best albums yet.
This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Voice of Ryuichi Sakamoto in Grasshoppers is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Plastic Bamboo has a fun tempo. The End Of Asia is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Thousand Knives.
