Since completing 1983’s ‘Le Piano D’Abigail’, Saint-Preux fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is the first studio album from Saint-Preux since bad diagnosis in 1983. ‘Le Piano D’Abigail’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. If you love Saint-Preux as much as I do, then Saint-Preux Le Piano D’Abigail is the CD for you!
I loved Le Songe D’Abigail the first time I heard it. Ectasy one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Intermede I is the song that really did it for me. La Route De Mars is a amazing sing-along. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. As always, Saint-Preux’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Allegories (1:54) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Escape I is simple, dignified and effective, Saint-Preux refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Le Piano D’Abigail II is pretty funky and mellow. Escape II is the most memorable and astounding. Le Chant Des Etoiles - Saint-Preux first major hit. Le Monde Um Matin is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Les Couronnes De Saturne stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Some call Plenitude from Le Piano D’Abigail as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen.
