Since completing 1977’s ‘She’s Not There’, Santana Band fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. On the Canada charts, superstar Santana Band’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Santana Band had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. If I may, I suggest “She’s Not There”. That one song is amazing!
What sets Flor D’Luna (Moonflower) apart is Santana Band’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. When I listen to Soul Sacrifice / Head, Hands and Feet ((Drum Solo)) in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. After you’ve listened to El Morocco, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Transcendance has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit.
