Lead single “Borstal Breakout (12″ extended” and “Cold Blue In The Night” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. After seeing Borstal Breakout (12″ extended, I had to have a good Sham 69 cd. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Sham 69. Smart music for smart people.
Cold Blue In The Night - A strong beat. Fly Dark Angel - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Hersham Boys is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Adventures Of The Hersham Boys couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track If The Kids Are United. Joeys On The Street is almost impossible to review. Lost On Highway 46 is one of the coolest songs Sham 69 has ever recorded. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Questions And Answers (3:18) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Voices - This one is lively and fun. Some of the arrangements found on Adventures Of The Hersham Boys are surprisingly edgy. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create.
