This sixteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Simon and Garfunkel has. Sounds of Silence (remastered) is the best essence of Simon and Garfunkel.
Leaves That Are Green is probably one of Simon and Garfunkel’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Blessed as a highlight of Sounds of Silence (remastered) contains a ton of amazing melodies. Simple and heartfelt closing track Kathy’s Song closes Sounds of Silence (remastered) on a high note. Somewhere They Can’t Find Me is the funkiest number on the album. Anji - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. I hope to keep hearing Simon and Garfunkel works for a long time to come. A Most Peculiar Man is a striking and quite long song. April Come She Will is Simon and Garfunkel’s best work in years. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Blew our minds when we first heard I Am A Rock. Blues Run The Game (Bonus Track) (2:55) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! Barbriallen (Demo) is a bit of a show-tune. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Roving Gambler (Demo) is perfect.
