Since completing 1982’s ‘Cascade’, Siouxsie and The Banshees fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. Now signed to Siouxsie and The Banshees’s Mute Records, the title track from second album “A Kiss In The Dreamhouse” leads Siouxsie and The Banshees’s back-to-school campaign. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Siouxsie and The Banshees energies, virtually a rebirth. Smart music for smart people.
Strong, powerful vocals of Siouxsie and The Banshees in Green Fingers are very impressive. Obsession defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. She’s A Carnival - arguably the best track on A Kiss In The Dreamhouse album. Circle is the most memorable and exquisite. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Melt!, which shows, blatantly, how much Siouxsie and The Banshees has evolved as a singer. This song may be the most meaningful. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Slowdive gives taste of what makes Siouxsie and The Banshees special as a musician.
