Self-described as Ambient with lots of words, Space Art comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Lead single “Onyx” and “Naissance De Cassiopee (Cassiopee’s Birth)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Onyx carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This is what good Ambient should be.
Space Art is hitting on all cylinders in Naissance De Cassiopee (Cassiopee’s Birth). |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Onyx. Axus (Axius) is a bit of a show-tune. Aquarella is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Ode A Clavius (Ode To Clavius). Laser En Novembre (Laser In November) is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Listening to Sky Walk you can hear that Space Art has still amazing chemistry with band members. I like the idea behind Convoi.
