It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Stan Getz energies, virtually a rebirth. This album has some very good songs like East Of The Sun (And West Of The Moon) and Four. Stan Getz was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Stan Getz and West Coast Jazz together. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Four
Still going through West Coast Jazz and coming to appreciate Four more and more with every listen. Suddenly It’s Spring great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.A Night In Tunisia one of the best in my collection. I can’t stop playing Summertime. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Split Kick is astounding. Of Thee I Sing is a medium tempo tune. This song is dynamic and dramatic. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Serenade In Blue is probably the highlight of the album. Of Thee I Sing (Alternative Take) marked the continuation of Stan Getz in style evolution. Love Is Here To Stay (Alternative Take) is a good listen every once in a while.
