After debuting at No. 1 last week, Steppenwolf’s album For Ladies Only falls to No. 2 with 807,000, a sales slide of 88%. This eleven-song debut EP shows the promise that Steppenwolf has. Self-described as Rock: Hard-Rock with lots of words, Steppenwolf comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
I was truly moved when I heard I’m Asking. Shackles and Chains marked the continuation of Steppenwolf in style evolution. Tenderness is perfect. I can’t stop playing The Night Time’s For You. Jaded Strumpet is a exquisite sing-along. After few listenings I started to like Sparkle Eyes more and more. Black Pit to me is the best you can get from Steppenwolf. Ride With Me is a medium tempo tune. In Hopes Of A Garden is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about.
